Column Templates
Hello! Welcome to the column templates page.
Firstly, as usual you will always choose the title of the page and set a banner image.
When setting a banner image, you need to set two images:
1. A full width banner image in .jpg format. Always click 'set this image'.
2. A square image - you can find the template on Canva (make sure the file name doesn't have any spaces i.e. BannerImageAlt)
a. Once you upload this image, click 'comment', write '680' and tick 'Web'. Exit and close.
This page layout should work for any number of columns. To start, set page layout to be w_column.
- Heading can contain text, video and an image
To create this widget:
1. Create a subcategory on the page you wish to place them
2. To add a heading a description, populate 'Title' with the heading and 'Description' with text
You can have as many as you like - here we've used three. This is how:
1. Create a subcategory within the one you just created
2. Populate the page title with the section heading
3. Set the page layout to ‘w_columns’
a.You can then add a video in if you like – you do this by choosing the ‘youtube’ attribute and pasting the code
b.You can also add an image by adding to ‘images’
N.B. It will stack video – text – image. If one of these are missing, it will bypass it allowing for full customisation. If you just want text and an image – that’s fine!
Once you have created the above subcategory, you can then start to add various columns. This is how:
1. Create subcategories for each column within the page layout subcategory above.
2. Populate the title with the heading of the column
3. Populate the short title with the column width.
a. This works on the column coding with a max width of 12. For example, if you want three equal columns, you’d put a number 4 in each. For this example, we’ve chosen 3, 6 and 3.
4. Once done, as above you can add a video, image or text. You don’t have to have all!
To add a CTA:
1. Create a new subcategory within the column – name it ‘Call to Action’
2. Populate the short title with the button text
3. Populate the description with the URL/Web attachments link
To add an accordion:
1. Create a subcategory – name it ‘Accordian’
a. To create accordion boxes, create as many sub categories as you wish
2. Once done, populate the title with the accordion heading and add a video, text or image.
